Siemens Competition in Math, Science and Technology Names 2008 Semifinalists and Regional Finalists

Nearly one hundred of the country's brightest High School students are still in contention for the nation's most prestigious scholarship in original research. On October 24, the Siemens Foundation announced the Semifinalists and Regional Finalists for the Siemens Competition in Math, Science & Technology. In another record-setting year, 1893 students registered to enter the Siemens Competition this year with a total of 1205 projects submitted – this includes an increase of more than 10% in team and individual project submissions and over 16% in the number of registrations. Regional Finalists will be called to compete at one of six Regional Competitions held over three consecutive weekends in November. Registration Opens for Siemens Nationwide Sustainability Challenge

Registration is now open for the Siemens We Can Change the World Challenge, a nationwide sustainability challenge for K-12 students to create innovative "green" solutions their communities. Middle school students (6-8) will be our first recruits into the Agents of Change, followed by elementary school students next year and high school students in 2010.
